Today was the funeral of Peter Gray’s mother, Lily. I didn’t know her as well as the rest of the family (having been one of the latest to marry into the Talbot clan) but I did share their sense of loss today. It’s always sad when people pass on, but the dignity and courage with which family members spoke of her at the service made today’s occasion special.
Peter Gray, in particular, gave a wonderful speech remembering his mother. Through his words everyone present got an insight into a loving and caring wife and mother, and a very devoted son. I’m sure Lily would have been pleased and honored with the service.
Rest in peace.
