Lisa found an old dog coat that she once bought for one of the cats and it fits Alex perfectly!

Meet Alex, the latest addition to our family!

I spoke to Brad late last week about getting a lamb (given that it’s lambing season) but figured we’d get one that had been weaned from its mother and was relatively independent. He called today and said this lamb was born Saturday (it’s two days old) and had been rejected by its mother, so it needed to be bottle fed for a few weeks. If we didn’t take it, the lamb would probably not make it. Given that Lisa can’t pass up an animal in distress I said we’d take it.

He’s a dorper – black face and one black leg. Dorper’s drop their own wool, so they don’t need shearing.

Big Girl wanted to write something about Alex too: Alex is our new lamb. We think we should call him Alex, but we’re not so sure. Could you please tell us a name we could call him?
