A shot from a few months ago in an attempt to redeem myself.

I’m kicking myself for making such a stupid newbie mistake tonight. Had the camera at Mum and Dad’s dinner table and I couldn’t work out why every shot was way, way overexposed. Did nothing out of the ordinary. It was only when I got the images back into the laptop and saw how grainy they were that I realised I was still set on ISO1600 from some deliberately grainy shots I was playing with a few days ago. Dang.

Managed to salvage two shots. Neither are particularly good.

Lesson learned? Check the basics. Always, always check the basics.

I’m astounded that Today Tonight (one of the local low-rent trashy “current affairs” programs) can turn blatant lies into a story about how mobile phones can be intercepted. I happen to know a fair bit about how mobile phone intercept works (as noted a few weeks ago) and the story they broadcast tonight was full of crap. I don’t even know where to start. Everything they spoke about was pure rubbish.
